Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better popularly known as Ari Lennox, is an American music producer and vocalist from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to become a member of J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on in May 7th, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her tracks on the internet in 2012 when she launched her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw her continue to make music available on the web including her self issued single Bound. Her music was also featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes, at Sweat It out on 21 July 2015. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's remark. Then, later in the season, the music circulated around Dreamville. On the 8th of December, it was reported that she had contracted to Dreamville Records. On the record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat with Cozz. In October of 2016 the singer-songwriter released her debut EP, Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. The following year, she went on to perform as a guest artist on two songs with her labelmates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream of her album debut Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video, which was released on September 5. On the 9th of November she released two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. On November 13 two brand new singles, titled"No One and pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on the 26th of February, 2019, for her album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby made an appearance alongside Cole on the Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. It was released with a music video on February 20 2019 and was viewed by 3 million people on YouTube in one week. She was the supporting act for 6LACK on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December of 2018.
